The FrameFit rim nightlatch protection kit is a purpose built fire door safety solution designed to maintain the fire integrity of a door when a rim night latch or cylinder has been installed, removed, or replaced. It’s part of the broader FrameFit range of passive fire protection products that help bring existing doors up to compliance without needing full door replacement. The product uses intumescent materials tailored for use with rim night latches and cored holes up to around 32 mm in diameter, helping to seal gaps and preserve fire resistance in a FD30 (30 minute) fire door application; and is independently fire tested to BS 476 Part 22 standards.
