The Assa Abloy ES8100, also known as the V-lock, contains a high torque motorised bolt which moves into a V shaped strike plate, pulling the door into alignment, when locked. The ES8100 can be mounted either vertically or horizontally but cannot be mounted in the floor. Completely redesigned internally, this new ES8100 V-Lock retains the original footprint of the Trimec ES8000 body and faceplate and is a direct retrofit for it. The ES8100 strike plate utilises the same fixing locations but is 3mm wider to allow a larger misalignment distance of up to 12mm total (+/-6mm).
