The Fireco DorMag SmartSound is a wireless fire door magnet that holds fire doors open legally and releases them to close automatically when the fire alarm sounds. It is ideal for areas with uneven floors and environments that require a concealed hold-open solution. The compact design allows for quick and easy installation behind the door, by mounting the Dormag unit to the wall and attaching the keeper plate to the door; and being battery powered there are no long cables or hard wiring required. Suitable for most internal doors up to a maximum weight of 100kg and 1250mm wide (Power size 5), the Dormag SmartSound uses advanced sound recognition technology to identify sounds and release the door to close when a fire alarm sounds.
